UZAZU’s Content Disclaimer

Use of this UZAZU website and its contents constitutes your agreement to this disclaimer. We encourage you to review the following information carefully.

The information contained on this website, including ideas, suggestions, techniques, and other materials, is educational in nature and is provided only as general information. By visiting this website, you understand you will be introduced to UZAZU—a process founded and ongoingly developed by Dylan Newcomb, with much input from his life partner Kyung sun-Baek and other members of the UZAZU Community (collectively the “Creators”)—since 2003.

UZAZU is a mind-body based approach to personal development which is designed and intended to help people embody more of their full potential. UZAZU uses specific combinations of vowel sounds, thought-patterns (internalized phrases), and physical movements to help the ‘user’ stimulate and experience specific affective states and then practice integrating, or ‘using’ those affective states in various life situations to become more easeful and effective in navigating them, as well as in developing an improved sense of overall well-being. UZAZU has been experienced and practiced now by several thousand people on multiple continents and the many positive testimonials on this website will attest to it’s having been very helpful for many people.

Although UZAZU appears to have promising mental, emotional, and physical benefits, UZAZU has yet to be fully researched by the Western academic, medical, and psychological communities and should, therefore, be considered experimental. The use of UZAZU is self-regulated and UZAZU is considered “alternative” or “complementary” to the healing arts that are licensed in the United States. Although the Creators have experience in the healing arts, the Creators are not psychologists, physicians, or other licensed health care providers.

The information, products, and services presented on this website are not intended to create, and does not constitute, any professional, therapeutic relationship between the Creators and the reader or ‘user’ and should not be relied upon as medical, psychological, or other professionally therapeutic advice of any kind or nature whatsoever.

Has UZAZU significantly helped EVERYONE who has practiced it thus far? No. Results may and will vary. The ‘glowing testimonials’ on this website were easy to come by, however, as many of the people who seriously apply themselves to the practice of UZAZU experience significant benefits of one kind or another. But, no—it’s not for everyone. So how do you know if it’s for you? Try it! You’ll discover within your first few times of experiencing it if it ‘seems to be working’ for you or not…

Further, any information presented on this website about UZAZU is not intended to represent that UZAZU is used to diagnose, cure, treat, or prevent any medical problem or psychological disorder nor is UZAZU intended as a substitute for seeking professional healthcare advice. The Creators strongly advise that you seek professional advice as appropriate before making any physical, mental or emotional health-related decisions.

Any information, stories, examples, or testimonials presented on this website do not constitute a warranty, guarantee, or prediction regarding the outcome of an individual using UZAZU or any material contained herein for any particular purpose or issue. While all materials and links and other resources are posted in good faith, the accuracy, validity, effectiveness, completeness, or usefulness of any information herein, as with any publication, cannot be guaranteed.

The Creators accept no responsibility or liability whatsoever for the use or misuse of the information provided on this website, including links to other resources.

By viewing this website you agree to fully release, indemnify, and hold harmless, the Creators, and their respective heirs, personal representatives, consultants, employees, volunteers and others associated with UZAZU from any claim or liability whatsoever and for any damage or injury, personal, financial, emotional, psychological or otherwise, which you may incur arising at any time out of or in relation to your use of the information presented on this website. If any court of law rules that any part of the Disclaimer is invalid, the Disclaimer stands as if those parts were struck out.

By continuing to explore our website and make use of its various content, products, practices, and services, you agree to all of the above.

May you enjoy and greatly benefit from UZAZU!

Dylan Newcomb is the founder & lead trainer of UZAZU Embodied Intelligence, a master embodiment-based coach for helping professionals & cultural creatives, and an avid embodiment researcher.

Dylan trained at the Juilliard School in both dance performance and music composition and was a multi-award-winning choreographer-composer in the Netherlands for over a decade. Generously funded by the Dutch government, Dylan went on to co-found Danslab Institute for Movement Research in 2001, where he conducted cross-cultural research for several years, exploring how vocal sounds, breath, and movement influenced thought, emotion, and behavior across hundreds of subjects. This research formed the basis for what has evolved into the modality now known as UZAZU Embodied Intelligence.

Over the past 18 years, Dylan has taught this unique approach to embodiment training to over 3,000 students across 4 continents. He has trained coaches, therapists, group facilitators, policemen, doctors, and business leaders in how to quickly balance their inner states to bring more ease and flow to their engagement in the world.

Dylan lives with his wife Kyung-sun Baek and their 11-year-old daughter Kiana in Freeport Maine, USA.
